Multicultural dream wedding on Lake Garda

For Italian photographers, it's a daily occurrence, but for me it's an incredible event. And many couples from the north of Europe dream of it too - of a fairytale wedding in Italy!
In May 2024, I had the privilege of accompanying Anna and Eduardo as part of a photo and video team. They rented two Airbnb's in Saló for their getting ready.
Fortunately, the weather was on their side. The day before it had been raining and hailing. A circumstance that delayed my arrival considerably, as my flight was delayed by several hours.
On the day of the wedding, however, the sun was shining and apart from a brief shower during the transfer from the wedding location to the party location, the timing of which was perfect, it remained pleasantly sunny and warm.

Relaxed start to the day - Wedding photographer Italy

Anna prepared for her wedding day with her mother and maid of honor in an Airbnb in the beautiful old town of Saló.
Two ferries were already waiting for Eduardo and the guests on the Saló promenade. Anna arrived at the wedding venue in a speedboat with her mother and maid of honor.

Wedding on the Isola Del Garda

There are certainly many words to describe the Isola di Garda. You can show it with pictures and videos, but the experience of approaching this island by boat and then entering it is something you have to experience for yourself. It is a beautifully maintained garden landscape with lots of Mediterranean trees and plants and you can't help but get the feeling that a charismatic Bond villain could live here.
Strings were already waiting for the guests in the castle grounds and everyone was in awe of this wonderful place.
Anna and Eduardo said "I do" in front of this backdrop and an Italian registrar. Afterwards there was a reception in the garden of the castle.

Party at Villa Avanzi

Back on the mainland, we took shuttle buses to Villa Avanzi in Polpenazze del Garda. We were greeted by DJ Lorenzo Rigo and saxophonist Enrico di Stefano. They provided relaxed vibes and an exuberant party that carried all the guests along.

All in all, it was a wedding perfectly orchestrated by wedding planner Ginni and I am sure that Anna and Eduardo will still be telling their grandchildren about this wonderful day.
I am grateful and happy that I was able to attend this wonderful wedding in Italy as a wedding photographer.
